Mainstage
Oh, it’s gonna get LOUD over at the Mainstage!
Afternoons are free, with local talent performing from 1-5 on Friday and Saturday – best enjoyed from the bleachers, chairs, or under the umbrellas at the Patio Party!
Evenings are ticketed, with headliners hitting the Mainstage Friday night and Saturday night.
Wonder Shows Midway
Always a hit, the Wonder Shows Midway is sure to please. Take a wild (but safe and legal) ride in downtown Steinbach!
Cultures in the City
The sights. The sounds. The tastes from around the world all weekend long at Cultures in the City – no passport required!
This is a popular spot to grab some food and be entertained all day.
We literally bring culture to the street! Performances start at 5 pm on Friday and 1 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Street Arts in the City
Get ready for a busy couple of days on the Street Arts stage! Grab a seat on the bleachers and get ready for some serious entertainment. Whether it’s the Shred in the City skateboarding competition, Heat the Streetz dance battle, or graffiti artists – this is a BIG part of the reason Main Street is so full at Summer in the City!
Artists in the City
Painting, creating, sculpting, designing… artists are at work on Main Street all weekend long and they WANT to be interrupted! Watch art being created, create your own piece, or purchase a new piece for your collection. Demonstrations, classes, sales… this is a must stop on your SITC itinerary!
Kids in the City
A family favourite on Main Street – Kids in the City offers FREE fun all weekend long. Crafts, mini golf, a foam party, magic show – all the things for all the kids! With painted faces and armed with balloon animals, your kids won’t run out of things to keep them entertained.
This is also where you’ll find the Family Tent – a quiet space to feed babies, change diapers, and let your little ones decompress for a few moments.
Sports in the City
Stay fit… AND have fun! Sign up with friends or family, kids ages six and up can spend the weekend playing ball hockey (Sticks in the City), basketball (Hoops in the City), and beach volleyball (Spike in the City). Get in on the action! Watch for registration beginning in May.
Seniors in the City
Fitness drumming, bingo, cards, games, yoga, and more! Stop by Seniors in the City to join a few classes, sip some coffee, and catch up over conversation all weekend long at Summer in the City! Hosted by Pat Porter Active Living Centre.
Heritage in the City
Worship in the City
Sunday morning with Summer in the City means Worship in the City! Join local congregations as community churches gather at the Mainstage for a service followed by performers all afternoon!
Patio Party
Plan now to get Friday afternoon off for the patio party – after all, who can concentrate on work with a festival going on right outside their door? Hang out under an umbrella, grab an ice-cold drink at our family-friendly, fun-filled, fully-licensed patio while enjoying live local entertainment.
Admission’s free Friday and Saturday from 1pm – 5pm!
Pancake Breakfast
Kick off Summer in the City with a free pancake breakfast, Friday 7-9:30am, hosted by SCU! (In case of rain, the breakfast will be cancelled and all food will be donated to local food banks.) See you on Main Street for pancakes!
