10:30am  WORSHIP SERVICE with MILT STEGALL – Danny Plett & Project Worship
(Freewill offering going to South East Helping Hands, Youth For Christ and Agape House)

(Island Breeze, Don Doerksen, Mayflowers in June, RBB, The Boy & The Sea)

We are so excited to announce that Milt Stegall, former Winnipeg Blue Bomber All-Star receiver, will be the guest speaker for the Sunday morning service at Worship in the City and that Christian music artist and 2016 Juno award winner Dan Bremnes will headline the free evening concert.

Dreams turned into a reality as coordinators and sponsors announced this year’s festival extension from two days to three full days of events thanks to Worship in the City growing from a morning service to a full day of festivities.

“We’ve always talked about this potentially blossoming into a full day, so last year when Ben Nickel approached us about turning this into a full day Christian concert we were excited about the possibilities,” said Art Enns, co-chair for Worship in the City.

Plenty of talented musicians with a message of hope will fill the entire day at the SCU Main Stage. The morning service will feature worship led by Danny Plett & Project Worship while the afternoon will abound with various local Christian artists until Dan Bremnes wraps up the festival in the evening. With Sunday being Father’s Day, it will be a perfect opportunity for families to come out and spend the day together.

Nickel and Enns both emphasized that they have had the privilege of witnessing incredible support from the community and from the local businesses who have sponsored this event. Because of such support, they’re excited to announce that ALL concerts are no charge – including Dan Bremnes.

The concert will begin at 6pm, with a freewill offering going to Eden Health & Worship in the City.
